We, Sander and Kim are the owners of Bare Feet Retreat B&B. Sander learned to dive in 1996 and Kim in 2003 and we have travelled the world to explore nature above and below the water. From diving in icy cold water in Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands to the warmer waters of Egypt, Galapagos Islands, Honduras, Madagascar, Maldives, Malta, Mozambique, Sudan, South Africa and Zanzibar.
With more than 15 years of experience, both qualified dive masters and our love for nature, we believe we can offer you an experience of a life time. We want to protect our mother earth. We are very nature minded and like to keep our footprint on this planet as small as possible. Our aim is to support local suppliers, eat healthy and focus on body mind and soul. We do regular beach and bush clean ups, recycle and use eco-friendly products.
We both have been working in the hospitality industry for many years running our own wildlife lodge (Kurhula Wildlife Lodge) since 2009 in the Greater Kruger. Besides the day to day management Kim has been the chef and Sander the ranger. Although Bare Feet Retreat is a B&B we will be offering our guests dinner for and additional price per person. Guests can choose the meal of the day, a 2 course or a 3 course dinner.
Besides diving the area of Scottburgh offers great mountain bike and hiking trails, beautiful golf courses and beaches. Conveniently situated near the N2, the B&B is a perfect starting point for a day trip to Durban, a hike in Oribi Gorge or a nice drive along the coastal shore.
